1. 简介

本插件把两件事合并进同一个插件:显示/隐藏顶部的 “Prototype Apps” 菜单,以及一次性移除全部 Prototype Apps 菜单与插件。它有两个入口:一个可配置动作(Configurable Action)“Toggle Prototype Apps menu”,以及一个停靠面板(Prototype Apps ▸ Prototype Apps Menu Manager…)。所有操作都只影响 Prototype Apps,不会触碰 Prototype Labs 内核(Developer ▸ Prototype Labs…)。

核心是那个可配置动作:默认快捷键 Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P,按一下即在运行时切换顶部 “Prototype Apps” 菜单的显示/隐藏——无需重启,并且下次启动 Dragonfly 时菜单会自动恢复。因为 Dragonfly 的菜单栏是编译好的 C++、没有隐藏菜单的 Python 接口,所以本插件通过 Qt 找到主窗口的菜单栏,翻转该菜单项的可见性。

适用于:想用一个键快速隐藏/恢复顶部 Prototype Apps 菜单(演示、录屏、界面精简);或想一次性隐藏 / 彻底清除本机上的全部 Prototype Apps 组件。

2. 功能特点

  • 一键切换菜单:可配置动作 “Toggle Prototype Apps menu” 在运行时翻转顶部 “Prototype Apps” 菜单的可见性(无需重启;下次启动自动恢复)。
  • 快捷键可自定义:默认 Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P,可在 Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions 里搜索 “Toggle Prototype Apps menu” 双击改成任意按键。
  • 面板里的 “立即切换” 按钮:面板顶部说明该快捷键,并提供 Toggle Prototype Apps menu now 按钮,不用记快捷键也能切换。
  • 隐藏全部(可逆):只移除全部 Prototype Apps 的菜单项,保留插件文件与已建好的环境;重新运行安装器或用 App Store 即可恢复。
  • 彻底删除(不可逆):在隐藏的基础上,进一步删除插件代码目录、App Store 支持模块、中央商店,以及基于文件的环境(venv / 下载内容 / WSL 发行版);必须勾选确认框才能执行。
  • 只动 Prototype Apps:两种移除都基于共享的中央商店目录(与安装器、App Store、Menu Item Manager 同一套 state.json / .pl_managed.json 契约),绝不触碰 Prototype Labs 内核或用户自己的文件。

3. 快捷键:切换菜单

安装后重启 Dragonfly,动作 “Toggle Prototype Apps menu” 会出现在 Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions 列表里,默认已绑定 Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P。

1. 在任意界面按 Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P —— 顶部的 “Prototype Apps” 菜单立即隐藏;再按一次则恢复显示。

2. 想改键:打开 Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions,搜索 “Toggle Prototype Apps menu”,双击该行,按下你想要的新组合键保存即可。

3. 不想记快捷键:打开 Prototype Apps ▸ Prototype Apps Menu Manager… 面板,点顶部的 Toggle Prototype Apps menu now 按钮,效果相同。

隐藏只是运行时状态,下次启动 Dragonfly 时菜单会自动回来——它不会永久移除任何东西。若安装时看到绑定状态显示 no-section,说明 preferences.xml 里还没有该小节,自己在上面的界面里绑一次即可。

4. 使用步骤:管理面板

打开 Prototype Apps ▸ Prototype Apps Menu Manager…。面板上半部分是快捷键说明 + 立即切换按钮;下半部分是移除工具(原 “Remove All Menus & Plugins” 工具)。

1. 在下半部分选择一种模式:Hide all menus(隐藏全部菜单,保留文件与环境)——可逆;或 Permanently DELETE all files(彻底删除全部文件)——不可逆。

2. 若选彻底删除,需勾选 “I understand this permanently deletes all files and cannot be undone.” 确认框,底部按钮才会可用。

3. 点底部按钮(隐藏模式显示 Hide All,删除模式显示 Delete All)。下方会展开日志窗,逐条列出被隐藏/删除的组件。

4. 看到 RESTART Dragonfly for the menu to update. 提示后,重启 Dragonfly 使菜单栏更新。

彻底删除时,位于安全位置(%LOCALAPPDATA%、comet、中央商店目录)之外的环境不会被自动删除,日志会把它们列在 “NOT auto-deleted” 下,提示你手动清理;WSL 发行版会尝试 wsl --unregister 注销。

5. 环境需求

  • 在进程内运行:纯 PyQt6 界面,无需 venv、GPU 或联网,不下载任何东西。
  • 可配置动作在 Dragonfly 重启后才会出现在 Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions;默认按键由安装器写入 preferences.xml。
  • 安装时请关闭 Dragonfly:Dragonfly 退出时会重写 preferences.xml,若在其运行时预置按键会被覆盖。插件本体的拷贝与旧组件的清理则不受影响(下次重启即生效)。
  • 移除功能依赖已安装的 Prototype Apps 中央商店(full_package_store.py);若未通过 Full/Apps 安装包安装过,面板会提示 “No Prototype Apps package store found”,此时没有可移除的内容。

6. 提示与注意事项

  • 隐藏 ≠ 删除:切换快捷键与 “Hide all menus” 都是可逆的——前者下次启动自动恢复,后者重跑安装器或用 App Store 恢复。只有 “Permanently DELETE all files” 会真正删文件。
  • 切换只对已加载的菜单栏生效:动作通过 Qt 找到含菜单栏的主窗口并翻转 “Prototype Apps” 菜单项的可见性;若菜单当前不存在(已被删除),按快捷键不会有可见效果。
  • 左右修饰键不区分:Dragonfly 存储的按键码不区分左右 Ctrl/Shift,默认绑定实际会在 任意 Ctrl + 任意 Shift + P 上触发。
  • 始终不动内核:无论隐藏还是删除,Prototype Labs 内核(Developer ▸ Prototype Labs…)与你自己的图像、对象、工程文件都不会被触碰。

1. Introduction

This plugin merges two jobs into one plugin: show/hide the top-level “Prototype Apps” menu, and remove all Prototype Apps menus & plugins at once. It exposes both through a Configurable Action (“Toggle Prototype Apps menu”) and a dockable panel (Prototype Apps ▸ Prototype Apps Menu Manager…). Everything here affects only Prototype Apps and never touches the Prototype Labs core (Developer ▸ Prototype Labs…).

The core is that configurable action: default shortcut Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P. One press toggles the top “Prototype Apps” menu's visibility at runtime — no restart — and the menu returns automatically on the next Dragonfly launch. Dragonfly's menu bar is compiled C++ with no Python hide API, so the plugin reaches the main window's menu bar through Qt and flips that menu action's visibility.

Use it to hide/restore the top Prototype Apps menu with a keystroke (demos, screen recording, decluttering the UI), or to hide / fully remove all Prototype Apps components on this machine at once.

2. Features

  • One-key menu toggle: the configurable action “Toggle Prototype Apps menu” flips the top “Prototype Apps” menu's visibility at runtime (no restart; it returns on next launch).
  • Rebindable shortcut: default Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P, changeable any time in Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions → search “Toggle Prototype Apps menu” and double-click to set any key.
  • “Toggle now” button in the panel: the panel top explains the shortcut and offers a Toggle Prototype Apps menu now button, so you can toggle without remembering the key.
  • Hide all (reversible): removes only the Prototype Apps menu entries while keeping the plugin files and built environments; re-run the installer or use the App Store to restore.
  • Permanently delete (irreversible): on top of hiding, also deletes the plugin code dirs, the App Store support module, the central store, and file-based environments (venvs / downloads / WSL distros); requires a confirmation checkbox.
  • Prototype Apps only: both removals are driven by the shared central store (the same state.json / .pl_managed.json contract as the installers, the App Store and the Menu Item Manager), never touching the Prototype Labs core or your own files.

3. Shortcut: toggle the menu

After install, restart Dragonfly. The action “Toggle Prototype Apps menu” appears in Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions, bound to Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P by default.

1. Press Left Ctrl + Left Shift + P in any view — the top “Prototype Apps” menu hides immediately; press it again to bring it back.

2. To rebind: open Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions, search “Toggle Prototype Apps menu”, double-click the row, and press the new key combination to save.

3. Prefer a button: open the Prototype Apps ▸ Prototype Apps Menu Manager… panel and click Toggle Prototype Apps menu now — same effect.

Hiding is only a runtime state — the menu comes back on the next Dragonfly launch and nothing is permanently removed. If the installer reported a binding status of no-section, preferences.xml had no such section yet; just bind it once in the dialog above.

4. How to use: the manager panel

Open Prototype Apps ▸ Prototype Apps Menu Manager…. The top half is the shortcut explanation + the Toggle-now button; the bottom half is the removal tool (the former “Remove All Menus & Plugins” tool).

1. In the bottom half, choose a mode: Hide all menus (keep files & environments) — reversible; or Permanently DELETE all files — irreversible.

2. For the delete mode, tick the “I understand this permanently deletes all files and cannot be undone.” checkbox to enable the bottom button.

3. Click the bottom button (Hide All in hide mode, Delete All in delete mode). A log pane opens below and lists each component as it is hidden/deleted.

4. When you see RESTART Dragonfly for the menu to update., restart Dragonfly so the menu bar refreshes.

On a full delete, environments outside the safe locations (%LOCALAPPDATA%, comet, the central store) are NOT auto-deleted — the log lists them under “NOT auto-deleted” for you to remove manually; WSL distros are unregistered with wsl --unregister.

5. Requirements

  • Runs in-process: a pure PyQt6 UI with no venv, GPU or internet; it downloads nothing.
  • The configurable action appears in Preferences ▸ Configurable Actions only after a Dragonfly restart; the default key is written into preferences.xml by the installer.
  • Install with Dragonfly closed: Dragonfly rewrites preferences.xml on exit, so a key pre-seeded while it is running would be overwritten. The plugin copy + old-component cleanup are unaffected (they take effect on next restart).
  • The removal feature needs the installed Prototype Apps central store (full_package_store.py). If Prototype Apps was never installed via the Full/Apps package, the panel reports “No Prototype Apps package store found” and there is nothing to remove.

6. Tips & notes

  • Hide ≠ delete: both the toggle shortcut and “Hide all menus” are reversible — the former returns on next launch, the latter is restored by re-running the installer or the App Store. Only “Permanently DELETE all files” actually removes files.
  • The toggle acts on the loaded menu bar: the action finds the main window that owns the menu bar via Qt and flips the “Prototype Apps” action's visibility; if that menu no longer exists (already deleted), the shortcut has no visible effect.
  • Left/right modifiers are not distinguished: Dragonfly's stored key code doesn't tell left from right Ctrl/Shift, so the default binding effectively fires on any Ctrl + any Shift + P.
  • The core is always safe: whether you hide or delete, the Prototype Labs core (Developer ▸ Prototype Labs…) and your own images, objects and project files are never touched.
