1. 简介

Show Connections of All Objects

  • 对象枚举:对各类对象调用 getAllInstances() 汇总。

Prototype Apps ▸ Show Connections of All Objects…

1. Introduction

Show Connections of All Objects analyzes every published object in the current Dragonfly session and draws a relationship graph so you can see, at a glance, how objects were derived from one another, which share a geometry, and which came from files.

This feature is provided by a third party (Prototype Labs / Apps), not officially developed or supported by Dragonfly. It runs entirely in-process on the object model and uses no large language model.

2. What each element means

Visual element

Meaning

Text box

a published object (image Channel / ROI / MultiROI / Mesh, …)

Arrow (parent → child)

derivation: e.g. a ROI made from an image, the image pointing to the ROI

Same background colour

objects sharing the SAME geometry (grid dims + spacing + origin + orientation)

Different colour

a different geometry — e.g. an object cropped/resampled into a new grid

Document (folded-corner) shape

a file-loaded object; the box shows its source file path

3. Where the data comes from (technical path)

  • Object enumeration: union of getAllInstances() over the object classes.
  • Derivation: taken directly from the object model's parent-child node relationships (getChildrenNodes / getParentNodes) — the same object tree the Data Properties panel shows.
  • Geometry grouping: a 'geometry signature' from the structured-grid dims, spacing, origin, and box orientation; same signature → same colour.
  • File path: the object model does not store it, so it is recovered best-effort by parsing this machine's Dragonfly ActionLog for file-load records (falls back to the object title).

4. How to use

1. Open your session in Dragonfly (load images, segment, build meshes, …).

2. Menu Prototype Apps ▸ Show Connections of All Objects… to open the panel.

3. Click 'Analyze session' to draw the graph; scroll to zoom, drag to pan, 'Fit' to see it all.

4. After the session changes, click 'Analyze session' again to refresh.

5. Requirements

No install, no internet, no GPU, no venv, no LLM. It draws with QGraphicsView in-process.
